The Importance of Vitamins on your Pet’s Diet
Vitamins and minerals are very important nutrients for our pets. And in today’s environment, our pets need more nutrients than what we had originally thought. This is why a normal basic diet does not provide many of beneficial nutrients that are needed by our pets.
If the diet of your pet is based canned or dried food, it is highly recommended to complement this diet with vitamins and minerals. The polluted world full of toxic chemicals is the same for us and our pets; we are living in the same place. They are also exposed to contamination generated by artificial elements such as synthetic carpets, cleaning solvents, herbicides and pesticides sprayed in the yard.
It has been proved that lawn fertilizers augment the probability of disease in dogs that play on sprayed lawns. Processed food is the basic element of the diet of our pets. Unfortunately this food is so processed that is highly loaded with chemicals. For that reason the ingredients of the processed food are of questionable origin.
Most of the processed food that claims to be "complete and balanced", hardly contains the necessary elements to support barely adequate health. In many cases the Vitamins and Minerals they claim to have, are lost in the processing process or are simply missing to begin with. This is why is so important to combine the diet of your pet with a daily supplement of vitamins and minerals, in order to help your pet to reach an optimum health level.
